The Migration Cube, as I call it, is a simple to learn manipulative game that is pretty self-explanatory. Move all the dots to their appropriate colored side (denoted by the colored arrows). Easy enough, yes? The image to the left shows my best score so far, which is 53 moves. If you happen to beat 53 moves, please take a screen shot and send it to me, and I’ll post it and credit you with your success! You too can be famous!
Having trouble breaking the 100 (or 200…300…or anything at all) barrier? Try these hints on for size: (1) Look at the overall orientation change of the dots. Notice how it’s anti-clockwise? (2) Try to keep the colored dots with their respective fellows when migrating them around the cube. (3) You can “jump” one dot, provided it is a straight line jump. [figuring that out was HUGE in lowering my score]. Good Luck!
